Ventilation in L2 South

Belvent Project No.: 2018-042

To meet Danfoss’ Energy Goals 2030, it was decided to replace the existing ventilation systems.

The contract covered work in the southern hall, which has an area of 8,750 m². Here, two ventilation units have been installed, each with a capacity of 105,000 m³/h. The units are also designed to function as smoke extract fans, where each unit can extract 160,000 m³/h of “cold” smoke from the hall, should the fire authorities require this in the event of a fire.

The project scope included:

  • Delivery and installation of extraction ductwork

  • Delivery and installation of air‑supply fabric ducts

  • Delivery and installation of supply‑air ducts, including connection of transition ducts to the fabric ducts

  • Delivery and connection of terminal boxes mounted directly after the ventilation units, manufactured in insulated sections matching the colour of the ventilation units

  • Delivery and installation of various dampers and ducts

  • Commissioning and balancing of both ventilation units
